In daily work, community workers find that quite a number of community residents like to plant flowers and potted plants, and have a great demand for relevant planting knowledge. They often exchange experience, invite each other to watch and share happiness, which is very beneficial to promoting neighborhood friendship and promoting the establishment of community cultural identity. In April 2020, Meisong Garden was included in the first batch of Suzhou Industrial Park to implement the "three fixed and one supervisor" garbage classification community. The community Party branch and neighborhood committee combined with relevant work needs, cooperated with local social organizations, and cleverly combined the residents' flower planting needs, garbage classification and community governance in the way of "three-community interaction", carried out the "flower field guardian" project, created a warm living community, and innovatively explored a flexible governance path starting from community culture.
Combined with garbage sorting, the project guides residents to make compost from kitchen waste, and uses "flower planting" as the medium to gather them together. According to local conditions, the public area outside the community Party and mass service center is opened as a corridor of "Meisong Flower Field", and the "flower field" is maintained by composting, and a series of activities are carried out to realize the transformation of kitchen waste into treasure on the one hand. On the other hand, the space barrier of the corridor is broken through, and the autonomous project of "outer corridor" is innovatively explored to enhance the interaction and friendship of neighbors and promote the construction of harmonious communities.
The project draws on the concept of community construction, emphasizes the principle of joint participation, takes residents as the main body, and lets residents become the providers and builders of "flower field" suggestions and participants in environmental governance issues. In the process of decision-making, implementation and evaluation, different groups have the opportunity to express themselves and participate in the process, and reach consensus through orderly consultation.
From the perspective of the implementation process, the project guides residents to participate in the joint development of a series of "flower field contracts", through effective collective action, and encourage residents to protect their own flower fields, gradually awaken the public awareness of residents, and integrate corridor management and garbage classification into the entire project, and obtain significant good project results.
